I was about forty minutes into the movie I was watching when I received a text message from my cousin Jenn, “You need to go outside the theater and call me!” I knew something must have been wrong. My brain seemed to punch my heart as she answered the phone. “Your Mom is in the hospital.”

The two of us (Jenn and I) drove to Arizona in the midnight stillness. What was only a four hour drive seemed like an eternity. We finally reached Bullhead City AZ around 2:00am. The hospital was dark, quiet and so clean it barely looked used; The only sounds were the repetitive beeping of machines and footsteps of the staff. As we entered her room it seemed as though Wonder Woman had been defeated. No longer looking like her super hero self, no longer able to help anyone like she had all her life. Now it was time to help her. Day after day as family and friends filtered through the hospital I realize just how much my Mom had an impact on everyone she came into contact with. After two weeks of tears, love, and prayers, sadly, Bridget Marie, my super hero, left this world.
My mission with the name “Bridget Marie” is to share what she has taught me which is the key to happiness is simple. All you have to do is be yourself! Although she was only in this world a short forty six years, she will forever live through my passion.
I will prove to her that all of her sacrifices for me were not a waste, and I will take the tools she has given me and build an EMPIRE!”
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey. Your support means the world to me!
